As strange as it may seem, theme cafes are very popular in Japan and especially those where waitresses are dressed as maids. You may be even more surprised because these cafes are also well attended by men but also by girls. Especially groups of girls ! And yes, a lot of young girls get together to go to Maid cafes. There is nothing perverse or completely delirious happening in the maid cafes. What is especially sought is the extreme service provided by the Maid and the fact that she calls all their client Master or Princess according to the type of the client. Customers feel instantly very important, unique and pampered. The Maidreamin is one of the maid cafes well established in Japan since it has 16 cafes all over Japan including 10 in Tokyo (7 are installed in Akihabara).

As in all maid cafes, you have to pay an admission fee per person of 500 to 1,000 yen depending on the day and time you go. It is 500 yen from Monday to Friday from the opening time until 5 pm but also on Saturday from the opening to 11 pm and on Sundays (and Japanese holidays) from the opening to 5 pm. Admission fee rises to 800 yen every day except Saturday from 5 to 11 pm and reaches the maximum of 1,000 yen every day from 11 pm to the closing time. Then you can order different dishes from drinks (alcoholic or not) to dessert and also main dish. Everything proposed in the menu is presented in a particularly kawaii (cute) way, which explains the high price of each item. On the other hand, to make a little bit savings and to be able to benefit of a service at the same time, the maid café proposes combo sets that include a meal (drink, dish and / or dessert) combined with a service with a waitress which can be a photo, or a party game or it is even possible to order a live performance of the waitresses where they sing on stage (with an extra of 1200 yen). It is certain that with all this service, everyone can quickly feel exceptional. But you have to be very careful, the bill may be ra really bad surprise. Indeed, even though sometimes admission fees are included in some sets, we order again and again but we only see the sum of all the items at the end. And it's not always a good surprise ... Of course this kind of cafe offers impeccable service and gives you the feeling of being an important person. It's what we look for when entering a Maid Café. But all this has a price and we must not forget it

It was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed and I think our friend we invited to share this experience as well ... The desserts were wonderful and great. We paid a performance by Maid and she draws a cute little bear face on an omelette. The service was up to our expectations. On the other hand, we realized that the bill went up crescendo also. So in conclusion, it is an experience to do but pay attention to the amounts of each item you want to order (not to be caught off guard) ;p
