We discovered in Amanohashidate that our 2-days Pass gave us access to the train from Amanohashidate to Fukuchiyama. So, we take the opportunity to take a particular train you will see on the next video and we went for free to Fukuchiyama. If we known, we would have saved a full ticket fare from Kyoto to Amanohashidate that is super expensive cost (3880 yen one way). While Kyoto to Fukuchiyama, the train costs only 1490 yen. Then from Fukuchiyama, taking a 1-day pass for 1,600 yen or 2 day pass at 2,600 yen, all other routes by train are free. Well, it's okay, you at least, you know now :)

So with our free ride to Fukuchiyama, we thought it would be good to visit the town as we are here. There was a castle presented in tourist posters, so we went there. Be careful, there are over 1.5 km between the Fukuchiyama train station and the entrance of the castle, if you hesitate to visit it, do not do it, you do not really miss anything. Fukuchiyama Castle is built on a small hill, so to access it, there is a hill to climb. The castle was built in 1580 on the foundations of ancient fortifications, was destroyed in 1872 and finally the dungeon called Tenshu was rebuilt in 1986 on the initiative of the inhabitants of the city. Fukuchiyama Castle to visit today is the one built in 1986, it is concrete, only the outside looks like its appearance of yesteryear. It consists of 3 floors and houses the local history museum. Although the castle is modern, it has no elevator as Okayama Castle (see corresponding video) but has a large lino staircase not too hard to climb. From the top of the keep, on the top floor, you have a pretty good view of the city that is a bit dated and sad (there is not much to do in this town).
