Kit Kat shekwasha シークワーサー

News from the Kit Kat Chocolatery, a new taste is coming from the tropical islands of Okinawa : the Shekwasha! So you're wondering what it can be. In fact, shekwasha or shīkwāsā is a small lemon from Okinawa or Taiwan. What is a bit strange is that we went to Okinawa last September and we did not find Kit Kat with Shekwasa there. But it was perhaps not the season ... There was only their purple sweet potato :(

The taste : it is a bit like the taste of lemon. On the other hand, it is less acidic. It may be like the Kumquat, but Kumquat has a little more orange taste than the Shekwasha. The taste of this citrus fruit is perfectly associated with dark chocolate. It can be said that it is a good mixture between bitterness, acidity and sweetness. It's a shame that we did not find this kind of Kit Kat when we were in Okinawa. Especially as in all the streets of Naha, these little lemons are sold everywhere in small lots and very cheap. Between this and the violet sweet potato, Naha shines with purple and green colors.

Well, this new fragrance of Kit Kat gives a refreshing tone after all the holidays festive meals. It has peps, freshness and that little bit of sweetness of the islands of Okinawa. It makes you want to travel...
