Orangina is famous in Japan for being a drink from France (their slogan being "Imagined in France ! Made in Japan!"). For the holiday celebrations, the brand had to necessarily issue a limited edition drink for this occasion. This special fragrance must show the French refinement and the elegance but also the spirit of the Christmas holidays. Nothing like berries to sublimate the taste of the Orangina and stay in the mood of Christmas.
In this limited edition Orangina for the holidays, there are Orange, Strawberry, Cassis, Lemon and Grapefruit. On the palate, it has the taste of the Orangina mixed withcremy candy with Cassis flavor. It is not too sweet but blackcurrant is very predominant. The taste of the strawberry is not really present. Personally, I like blackcurrant and cremy candy with cassis flavor, so I think this is a refreshing drink. The taste is not bad, it does change compares to other carbonate drinkswhich are too sweet and have a very chemical taste.
In the end, they might have called it Orangina Holiday Mix Cassis because you taste only that. But otherwise it is quite well imagined and realized.
