In Akihabara, it is an emblematic establishment. People queuing in front of the building every time we were there (even in the rain). The Cafe & Theater of the famous group singers : AKB48. It is located under the rails of the Akihabara train station , giving it an authentic side.
There is also a theater and a souvenir shop. There are always people waiting outside the theater, they probably expect to see a member of the group or to participate in a show. It is possible to buy entry ticket into the theater on site. We only went to AKB48 Cafe on a week day. The waitresses are dressed a bit as maids. The menu is quite diverse, you can eat or just have a drink. You can stay in 1 hour and photos are allowed (photo of staff or customer is not permitted). There are on the walls TV screens where you can watch the AKB48 concerts or the broadcast happens next. In drinks, you have many choices and for some, you can have refill. They also offer hot drinks and their hot chocolate is really good. All their dishes are well presented, some have the shape of a rabbit head or are nicely decorated. You also have a choice of dessert all seem delicious.
For our part, we took a hot chocolate, a white mocha with caramel and a parfait ' Mont Blanc '. It costs 2000 yen but it was really good and as a bonus, you get free coasters with the photo of a member of AKB48. You have to put without seeing the photos a coaster among all the waitress hands you. We had a great time. Around us there were people who have dishes like rice-curry or omelette and it seems super good. In addition, the dish is well served and super cute. I would taste it if I could :D
Whether you are or not a fan of AKB48, go ahead ! To eat or drink, it is worth!
