Kirby Café, temporary theme cafe on the Nintendo character in Osaka カービィカフェ

From August, 5 to September, 25 is open the Kirby Café in Osaka. There's also one in Tokyo since August, 26 and Nagoya from August, 24 to September, 4. The Kirby café カービィカフェ of Osaka is located in the north tower of the JR station Osaka, on the 10 th floor at the site of Café La Pause カフェラ・ポーズ

To enter, go early in the morning at the entrance of the north tower where the numbered tickets are distributed. The distribution of tickets is from 9 am to 10:30 and there is already a huge queue at 8am. The tickets are free, they contain a passage number and the time slot which is assigned to you to eat or drink at the Kirby cafe. There are a limited number of tickets and the principle is first comes, first served. So if you arrive early, you will have a time slot earlier. The Kirby cafe opens from 10:30 to 11 p.m. (10 p.m. last entries) so if you are near the end of the queue, you can go to the Kirby cafe only at the end of the day. We arrived at 8:30 on a Monday morning and were near the middle of the 4th queues, so we got the time slot 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. . It is not possible to choose the time at the Kirby cafe and if you are late, your place is not exchangeable and you can not enter.

The cafe decor is very cute. There are Kirby with a chef's hat everywhere. There are thirty space available in the café. On the tables, you can find Kirby placemats that you can take at the end and a Kirby with Kirby Café signed decor. The menu is limited, you can view it directly on the website kirbycafe.jp and prices. Afer all, it is a little bit expensive, each table spends a minimum 2000 yen if not more. It is true that it is not cheap but we tasted the pastries ( pancake and macarons) and it was delicious. The pancakes are a bit nauseating at the end but the strawberry cream is fairly light, allowing to finish the dish anyway. The raspberry macaron is divine. Too bad it's too small ;p The raspberry acidity makes the cream ultra light, the macaron are crisp and soft andthe chou is like brioche. The mixture is perfect! The other dishes were also appetizing include the plate of spare ribs and chicken thighs. That one is very biiiiiiiiiig! But the catch is that its price is also :( All dishes are super cute and the design very well thought..

In any case, even if it's expensive, a theme cafe as that one, temporary and exclusive, it's so rare that at every opportunity, we must try. It's not like Nintendo will open cafes in every street corner! For the experience, you must try. Thousands of Japanese queuing for it, then it does mean that it is good. And even if it hurts your heart to spend so much money, it may be once in our lives :)
